The lyophilized (freeze-dried) vial is kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and humidity, with a typical shelf life of 24 months depending on the compound. Reconstitution is done with bacteriostatic water, which is not included in the vial. Once reconstituted, the peptide must be kept refrigerated. These guidelines apply to laboratory handling for research purposes.
